a very special gift (lyn)

My birthday is in March.  Jean takes me aside and says, “I have an early birthday gift for you.”  I can’t imagine what it is.  She hands me a bag and inside is a gorgeous quilt she has made for me.  I want to cry it is so beautiful.

Jean recently learned how to quilt and has been creating quilts that look museum-worthy.  The workmanship is amazing.  42 different fabrics were used to create my one quilt.  Until Jean explained the steps involved, I had no idea making a quilt required such talent, patience, and creativity. 

The end result is magnificent.  The quilt is gorgeous, but its real beauty is in the love that went into making it.
